It takes approximately 4-10 weeks to build a website from start to finish, providing we have all the information from you. Generally speaking, the website will only take a long time if our London based web design team still waiting for text and images from yourself.
It really depends on what type of website you want. We’ll be able to discuss this on our discovery call before we start working together. Depending on which package we agree on we could need…
Images of you and your team
Images of your workplace
Content for the website e.g. text, PDFs etc
Staff Profiles
Any Videos you would like adding to the website
Login details to your existing website
Some of this might already be on the existing website, in which case it can be transferred over to the new site.
.
We are happy to write the text for your website if you would like. We have a copywriter in house who will create the content for your website so you don’t have to.
Yes, we split the payment into two. The first 50% is usually taken once we agreed to design your website and you’re happy to move forward. The following 50% is taken 30 days after this.
No. In the past we have found that projects can take a lot longer than expected to complete. We might be waiting for information from you and this can delay the process. Sometimes these delays can take months. This is why we always invoice 30 days after the original payment. At this point we’ll be well on our way with your new website and you’ll be able to see the progress.
If we build your website, we will generally manage the hosting for you so you don’t need to do anything. Online Web Design Agency uses the same hosting company for our own website and for ALL our clients. Each website is managed individually to avoid any security issues. Every website we build has unlimited bandwidth, 20GB of disk space, 2GB Ram and 99.9% uptime
Yes, Online Web Design in London can arrange a maintenance package to suit your needs. This can range from 1 hour per month to 15 hours per month and we can discuss a package that’s right for you.
Yes. Your website will be fully responsive and will look great on all devices. Online Web Design Agency doesn't charge extra for this. It comes as standard.
It depends. There’s no clear answer to this question as search engines change their requirements all the time. However, we have had clients get to the first page for their main keywords within 2 days of launching and we’ve had websites take 2–3 months for Google to show them on the first page.
However, there is no guarantee you will ever get to the first page of Google for your main keywords, some of your competitors might have huge marketing budgets or have been there for years.
It depends which package you choose. SEO is usually an ongoing commitment and will require continuous work. However, we do offer a package that will start you off on the right foot.
The Digital Elite website plan includes basic on-page SEO for 10 pages. This means we’ll perform keyword research and optimise it for search engines.
No. Websites like Facebook, Amazon and Twitter are not like standard websites. They require hundreds or thousands of hours of work just to get the website launched. Not to mention that you’ll need a team of developers on hand 24 hours a day to keep the website running smoothly..
Of course. You’re buying a website from us. It’s the least Web Design London can do. As long as it’s available for purchase, we’ll buy it for you and pay for the first year. We’ll send you an annual invoice for the renewal along with the hosting fees.
Obviously, if the domain name costs more than the average of £10-£20, then we’d have to discuss this with you!
You can have an unlimited amount of pages on your website. We will usually design you 5 pages layouts i.e. A homepage, a blog page, services, contact page, an inner page e.g. your about page. You can then use whichever layout you want for each new page you want to add.
We will ask you a series of questions before we begin, then we will research your market and suggest a series of pages for your website. We’ll learn as much as we need to know to create compelling words that inspire people to get in touch.
Yes! We would like our clients take control of their website and learn to manage it on their own. We’ll provide you with a set of comprehensive video tutorials to help you learn your way around, as well provide you with a training session to help get you on your way.
SEO stands for search engine optimization, and refers to the process of optimizing your website to give it the best chance of appearing high up on search engine results pages (SERPs). Using organic methods (i.e. not paying money to the search engine), you can improve the position of your website on search engine results pages and, as a result, increase the number of clicks and visitors to your website.
UX (user experience) is a web design process that focuses solely on providing a meaningful, enjoyable, and relevant experience to website visitors. The user experience itself ecompasses the user’s emotions or attitudes about using the website, and is affected by the site’s overall user-friendliness.
Responsive web design is very important because it improves the user’s experience by reformatting content to fit on a mobile screen. It’s also a search engine ranking factor, meaning search engines will rank mobile-responsive websites higher than non-responsive sites to give search engine users a better experience. With smartphone usage rising year-on-year, responsive design is something your business can’t afford to skip.
FAQ or most frequently asked questions page Provide helpful content for users and address their hesitations Think about the customers who call your business just to ask a question. For every person who does call, there are likely countless others who visited your website, couldn’t find their answer, and decided to continue their search elsewhere. Adding a FAQ page can help you keep those potential customers on your site and make their user experience much more convenient. And if you think online convenience is a small factor in a user’s perception of a brand, remember these customer service statistics:
If you already have a website. That’s great. This means we can build your new website whilst your other website is still live. Once we are ready to go live and you are happy with the new site we can then swap the old site for the new one. It can take as little as 10 minutes for the new website to be visible. This means you’ll barely even notice a dip in your traffic numbers.
Our website packages usually range from £750 – £5000. However it really depends on what kind of website you need.
You will own the domain. We will register the domain in your name and address and it belongs to you. This means you have ultimate control over it.
